Rumpelstiltskin review

Posted : 2 years, 12 months ago on 3 April 2021 01:39 (A review of Rumpelstiltskin)

Compared to Leprechaun, the monster in this film is actually taken somewhat more seriously and doesn’t make you want to turn it off like I did with Leprechaun which sadly i just had to watch. This film offers something better than Leprechaun. The kills are badass, the acting (especially the guy playing our monster) is good, and the scares are mixed in with its humor. And in a good way

Mara review

Posted : 2 years, 12 months ago on 3 April 2021 01:38 (A review of Mara)

Despite some dumb decisions and a mediocre protagonist, the effects, acting (especially of the character known as Dougie), Story, and everything else is so entertaining, that I actually got paranoid if there were such things as sleep monsters

Deep Blue Sea review

Posted : 2 years, 12 months ago on 3 April 2021 01:38 (A review of Deep Blue Sea)

Cmon it’s a shark film with Samuel L motherfucking Jackson. What else could you ask for? The acting, scares, kills, humor are great but the effects are kind of lame. Still fun to watch either way

As Above, So Below review

Posted : 2 years, 12 months ago on 3 April 2021 01:38 (A review of As Above, So Below)

What is with the hate in this film? The acting, effects and scares are pretty good so why the hate? I enjoyed the film because it was actually scary, actually fun to watch and suspenseful and maybe a few dumb decisions there and there but only happens at least 3 times but that’s it. The protagonist however is so amoral, you’ll wish she had died. Either than that, give it a try

Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight review

Posted : 4 years, 1 month ago on 19 February 2020 07:39 (A review of Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight)

This movie is not like most movies.
It’s not that well known among Movie fans but it’s well known nowadays towards horror fans. But enough said about its legacy.

This movie is fan-fucking-tastic

It’s awesome, it’s thrilling, it’s sad and funny and scary all at the same time! The acting and it’s badass soundtrack (which features PANTERA AND FUCKING MEGADETH HELLS YEAH) and it’s effects and story is all amazing. But it takes the entire cake with 5 words

Billy Zane as the Collector (film’s villain)

And to quote him from this movie and my most favorite line:

“FUCK THIS COWBOY SHIT! YOU FUCKING HOEDOWN, PODOWN WELL THEM THERE MOTHERFUCKERS!”

Phantasm review

Posted : 4 years, 1 month ago on 19 February 2020 07:38 (A review of Phantasm)

“You play a good game, boy! But the game is finished. Now you die!”

These are the words of Angus Scrimm.
An underrated actor who deserved to be more appreciated because of his role of the demonic, sadistic and malicious Tall Man, who is one of my favorite villains in all of fiction. This movie may be confusing but the acting, scares, Story, kills, effects and soundtrack are memorably great and well executed.

“BOOOOOYYYYYYY!”

One Hour Photo review

Posted : 4 years, 1 month ago on 19 February 2020 07:38 (A review of One Hour Photo)

I’m a huge Robin Williams fan. When I heard he starred in a horror film, I was both excited and confused. Why would someone like him be in a psychological horror film? I was shocked to find out he did a fantastic job portraying the psychotic but affable Sy Parrish. This movie disturbed me. Not in the way like Hostel or Salo would but rather disturbed me psychologically and that’s the first time a film like this did that!

The Hills Have Eyes review

Posted : 4 years, 1 month ago on 19 February 2020 07:37 (A review of The Hills Have Eyes)

When I first watched it, I got scared for the dogs getting killed and turned it off! When I finally grew a pair, I ended up enjoying it and I was sorta wrong about the dogs getting killed (only one died sadly poor thing) and the film was exciting and well acted. This was well done for a film like this and I wish Wes Craven were still here so I can ask, “How did you make a gory masterpiece like this”. This film is definitely one of my favorites

Gorgo review

Posted : 4 years, 1 month ago on 19 February 2020 07:36 (A review of Gorgo)

Gifted, Gorgo wasn’t welcomed with happy smiles and positive comments during its original release. Critics loathed it and audiences barely cared. But just like Alien or even Godzilla, this film was eventually given the positivity it deserved. Gorgo ended up becoming a well known monster movie for horror and monster movie fans and critics eventually started to appreciate and love the film. This was one of my first monster movies growing up (besides Godzilla, King Kong, Frankenstein and Gremlins), and from my recollection, I didn’t like it..........I FUCKING LOVED IT

Blow Out review

Posted : 4 years, 1 month ago on 19 February 2020 07:36 (A review of Blow Out)

Blow Out is one of those influential films in the horror genre that rarely anyone had heard of. People should know what Blow Out is and to me, it’s one of the few good American giallo films ever made. It has great acting, great scares and thrills, and not just one but TWO great performances from Travolta and Lithgow! This film has been referenced, parodied and even influenced by both pop culture in general and future horror films
